The front door is the gateway to the home.The front door is the gateway to the home. It gives the first impression to the world of any
house. Not only should such doors be aesthetically appropriate, but they should be as much
as a part of the character of the house as the brickwork, rendering, or the windows.
Therefore that little bit of extra care and attention is always worth the time, trouble and
expense.
A great door will always speak for itself
Our External doors range from quaint cottage doors to those fine enough for an Elizabethan
manor house.
Our external doors fall into three groups; Spline doors, Framed and ledge doors and
panel doors.
Our Dudley and Stratus have splines down the length of the door, these splines, as well as
looking particularly fine, form part of the construction of the door. These doors look the same
on both sides
The Buchanon is also a version of this type of door, but is fashioned on the early doors of the
late 16th centaury, and has horizontal aswell as vertical splines.
The Hunter and Helmsley are framed and ledged doors - always a popular choice for external
doors. The front and back of the door are different.
Finally for Georgian or Victorian homes in particular, perhaps a panel door may be more in
character - our range of four an six panel doors are all made to allow them to be used either
internally or externally.
Any of our doors can be made with or without a window.
